The first victory of the Ferrari 499P comes in the most prestigious appointment on the calendar, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the Ferrari had already obtained the front row of the grid in the Hyperpole.
In the race, car number 51 driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi brought the Ferrari back to the top in the french endurance event after fifty-eight years.
